The result is a medium-full bodied wine in the elegant Bordeaux style. The nose is dominated by the berry and plum aromas of the Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, with hints of mint, licorice and cedar. The palate is smooth, firm and complex, with many layers of flavour contributed by the four grape varieties. The finish is long and dry, with a slight earthiness from the Malbec and fine seed tannins.
The wine will drink beautifully in its youth, but is made to age gracefully over many years in the cellar. It is ideally served with game such as rabbit, venison or kangaroo, or try it with soft cheeses.
